It was a great experience at New York Comic Con! This convention was an interesting one since it was my first time back after 9 years. Here are some pictures and a review from my geeky weekend:
“You’re so cool!”
Woohoo! I had a great weekend at Retro Con. 🙂 As I said in my last post, I plan on returning to this convention next year. It was lots of fun! It’s definitely a niche convention, so I would have to bring more 80’s inspired artwork. I still did okay for my first appearance. More photos and convention review after the Jump!
Hey folks! I know it’s been a while since life is happening. 😛 I recently finished a Star Trek commission for an amazing fan! I did this piece for Lady J Cosplay after meeting her at the Great Philadelphia Comic Con. She’s such an awesome Uhura! This piece will be sent out this week and I’m so glad she likes it!

Awesome Con 2015 has come and gone! It was my 2nd year appearing in Artist Alley and I had a pretty good experience. I was at the tail end of one of the aisles, but I still had a pretty good turnout. I want to thank everyone soooo much for visiting me at the event! More photos and review/log of events after the jump! XOXO
The Great Philadelphia Comic Con has come and gone! It was a local convention for me during the weekend of April 3rd-5th. It was great to be at a convention so close to home! I’m glad I went since I met my friends again and possibly made more!
More photos and my review of the con are after the jump!
“… I have been, and always shall be, your friend.”
It finally came! My entry is on page 406 and this is filled with crazy-talented illustrators from around the globe. The objective of this directory is to get illustrators seen by the publishers or anyone who hires freelancers. I would like to get my work published as book covers but I know I have a lot of work ahead of me to achieve that goal. Since I also work full-time it will be a fun challenge for me. If you’re in the same boat, the hardest part is planning out time to do your own projects after spending 8-9 hours doing the same for the day job. It’s going to be a tough road, but I am willing to work for it.
This past weekend was spent visiting The Great Allentown Comic Con. I was excited to meet Nichelle Nichols of Star Trek! This was my first time attending the con, so I decided to stop by as a visitor to see potential for exhibiting there for next year.
WordPress just added a “Portfolio” feature in the Dashboard, so I added a “WordPress Portfolio” tab on my Menu Bar. It’s a nice option to have on the blog.
Below are examples of what will be posted on my “WordPress Portfolio”
Just started preparing small prints (8×10″ frames w/ 5×7″ photo window) for my online stores. They will be $15 (includes shipping) and will feature most of the new work previously featured on the site. If you would like to get a list of the pieces for small prints or would like to reserve one, email email@example.com

With Convention Season looming, I felt like adding more sci-fi inspired artwork to my portfolio. Every weekend is going to be really busy for the next few months. It’ll be fun to hibernate with work until the summer. I would also say that I can’t take commissions at the moment but that area has been pretty slow so far. 😛 It’s okay, since the free time gives me time to develop my style and technique.
