Over the weekend, I exhibited my work at Uncanny in the King of Prussia Mall during Free Comic Book Day. I was excited to do this once again since the last time I participated during Free Comic Book Day was in 2012. Surprisingly, this event was more successful than The Great Philadelphia Comic Con from the week before. It was a great day for the customers and staff.
Last weekend, I returned to The Great Philadelphia Comic Con’s Artist Alley. I had taken a year off from exhibiting in 2017 since I was planning my wedding. 😁 I had fun during the show and also seeing my friends. My favorite part about comic conventions is connecting with fellow nerds and artists.
Thank you all for making this year awesome! I need to make more work for 2018. 😜 It was a big year with new beginnings and I’m SO happy that I returned to Baltimore Comic Con. I hope that I can return to BCC as a vendor next year.
The title says it all… I have a new job! I actually started a few weeks ago and I wanted to get some things under control before blogging about it. I am happy about where I am right now and also very pleased to have a shorter commute and a bigger salary. 🙂
Welp, last week I was let go from my full-time job. I’ll give you a little hint of what I did: I was in charge of production at an independent comic book company. I was let go because my former company needed to make some budget cuts, so my position was eliminated. I’m okay now… at first I was of course upset that I was let go unexpectedly. Especially since I was never written up for anything. Gotta love at-will employment. 😆
It was that time again! I went to the Great Philadelphia Comic Con on Sunday 4/9 and met up with lots of friends and bought new goodies. This year I did not exhibit, so I will not be doing a review of my experience. All I can say is that this Philadelphia-area convention is growing fast!
I know this would have been around the time I announced my convention appearances but this year, I’ve decided to take a break since I have personal commitments to take care of. If you truly know me, you already know how excited I am about it. #VagueBlogging 😜
Hey everyone! So sorry for not posting in a while! I took a bit of a Winter break and went to catch Paint The Revolution at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. It was a snowy day but I’m very happy that I got to see this amazing exhibit! Romantic, Political, Colorful, and everything in between. I went to Paint The Revolution on the final weekend and I also became a member of the Art Museum. I pushed myself to go despite the weather because I actually missed the Frida Kahlo exhibit when I used to live at a nearby campus. I think I made up for it this time!
See the special and regular exhibition pics after the jump! Which ones were your favorite?
(Please consider donating or becoming a member of the museum here)
I’m so glad I started watching Westworld on HBO. It definitely reignited a desire for creativity. I am so glad that this and my last commission helped me get out of my artistic slump. I made this on the Procreate App as a study/art therapy. I have a few more favorite characters from the show to try out!
The Olympics have come and gone! So sad I won’t be seeing anymore gymnastics on TV for a while, so I made a portrait study of Gabby Douglas on the procreate app. 😃 from Instagram: http://ift.tt/2blm04i
